Biotique flawless white face pack

Its been almost an year eversince I brought this face pack. This is one of my initial purchases of Biotique product. The product claims to reveal you a flawless glowing complexion. As always, not much can be expected when it comes to improving you completion or the color of you skin.

The pack is mauve colored thick cake with some divine smell of camphor and instence sticks. But what can you expect from a Ayurvedic product. Its not bad or something, but definitely could have been better.

There has been no change on my skin that I have noticed it after using it for a molnth or so. Now I have given it to mom, to somehow use ti and empty it. I felt it is utter waste of money.
It is very thick cake. Little is not enough. Have to dig enough from the tub.

Price- INR 199 for 50gms

Thumbs up-
  • Its herbal. A biotique product.
  • I can't think of any more advantages after straining my mind for 10mins.

Thumbs down-

  • Smell is not pleasing.
  • It comes in a tub.
  • Same old boring green packing.
  • Has not done any good to my skin, neither has it done anything bad.
Will I re-purchase?

Definitely not, and I'd advice the same to all my readers.

Oriflame soothing foot cream

During summer, it becomes extremely difficult to manage feet and avoiding it from getting tanned.  During this summer, we tend to wear open slippers and straps. At the end of the day , we always notice our feet,  in two skin shades coz of the tan. L
I found the solution. And it is  the ‘Oriflame soothing foot cream’. It comes in a very impressive cool blue tube with a tiny opening, that saves the product from getting wasted.

Price- INR 198. Knowat, I purchased this in a offer during March for a mere Rs.100. [:D]

Oriflame soothing foot cream is of a very light texture. It is absorbed quickly by the skin leaving behind no trace of greasy feeling. After using it regularly for 3 weeks, I found it very effective for all skin problems, not just tan. I shared the cream with dad. He had dark pigments on  his feet, the pigment is visibly reduced just in a span of a week, using it twice a day. J
After that, this has remained my best feet cream, a great companion for dad too.
I have the Oriflame avocado foot cream too. Have been using this from past 1 week, So Far so good. Will come up with a review soon.
Totally satisfied, totally happy.

Thumbs up-
·        A very light cream. Absorbed easily
·        Very effective. Removes tan and pigments
·        No distinct odour, but has a tinge of minty smell.
·        Cheers for the packing too.
·        Even MRP is not expensive for the effectiveness.

Thumbs down-
  •  Can't think of anything at all.
Will I re-purchase?

Definitely yes! Without a second thought , buying this for dad also.

Oriflame antioxident night cream

For the kind of pollution that we face today, we definitely need something more than CTM routine. IT was then I decided, I try for some night cream. It was the same time, I was browsing the Oriflame magazine brought by my collegue. There was this grape antioxident night cream that caught my eye. Grape is a well known antioxident.

Antioxident - It bonds with the free radicals and neutralizes it and hence prevents cellular damage.
Now you wanna know, what is free radicals?

Free radicals - These are highly reactive particals those get involved in chain reaction. Their chief danger comes from the damage they can do when they react with important cellular components such as DNA, or the cell membrane. Cells may function poorly or die if this occurs. To prevent free radical damage the body has a defense system of antioxidants.

Antooxidents are present in all citrus fruits, grapes all Vitamin E products etc,.

Price- INR 359 for 75ml. I bought this under a discount sale for 249. Gleee

Ingredients- Not mentioned. But officially grape should be one of the thing

The Oriflame anti oxident night cream is a very light cream. Its get absorbed by the skin very soon, within few seconds. Skin doesn't feel greasy at all. It moisturises the skin very well. The cream contains a tinge of mild grape smell.

Thumbs up-
  • The grape smell is very mild and yummy!
  • Very cute graphics label. Nice color.
  • A very reliable moisturiser.
  • No greasy feeling after application.

Thumbs down-
  • Expensive for the quantity.

Yes, will purchase it only if I get a discount on the product.

H&G Relift Cranberry Body Scrub Review

From quite sometime , I was on hunt for a scrub. I always knew scrubs are good modes of doing a exolification on skin. Two years back , I was using the everyuth walnut scrub. Will put up a review sooner for the same.
Health & Glow has launched it own range of Body and skin products. Fresh and Natural as they claim, they tend to attract more attention. I was browsing those products when I found this Cranberry body scrub. Although I was on look-out for face scrub, I wanted to buy this as I was thrilled about the thought of getting the entire body exolificated and clean.
Now that I have used this product for about 2 weeks, I felt its the right time to post a review.

Price- INR 120
Product says -
Cranberry supports the skin against harmful oxidants. It deep cleanses and exfoliates.
Its been a month since I started using this scrub irregularly ;)
The scrub contains very small coarse materials. It contains a very creamy rich texture. It helps exofoliation without causing bruises on the skin.
It contains a very yumm fruity smell. Bet you would'nt mind licking it!
It is very ideal to be used after an oil massage. Feels very refreashing and relaxing to use this scrub. Not bad at all. But unfortunately the scrub does'nt lather at all. It can be used for 3 months generously, if used once a week.
Ingredients-
Cranberry oil, Vitamin E, Xanthan gum, Allantoin, Vegetable Glycerin, Semolina(Sooji), Sodium PC, Almon oil, Orange peel extract.

Thumbs up-
  • Contains a very sweet migrant fruity aroma
  • Scrub contains very fine particles
  • Exfoliation makes skin feel very refreshing
  • Comes a long way inspite of generous usage
  • Shelf life is 24 months

Thumbs down-
  • Comes in a tub
  • Does not lather at all
Will I re-purchase?

No, I feel I can find better body scrubs in market.

H&G Restore Pomegranate Face Mask review

Its has been my routine to browse through the counters of Health & Glow, during the 1st week of every month. This time, I was caught by the colorful shelf, which adorned the newly introduced H&G products. There was something that caught my eye in a jiffy. It was the word 'Pomegranate' and the colorful packing.
I inspected the face pack for ingredients and price. It was fairly priced product and hence an instantaneous purchase for me though I was not in need of any face masks.

Price- INR 110 for 100ml

Ingredients- Water, Bentonite,China clay, Allantoin, Emulsifying wax, Vitamin E, Germanium oil and pomegranate oil.
Product says -  Pomegranate prevents the permanent destruction of tissue and helps in regeneration of cells.

After using it for a month, I satnd neutral for this product although I'm tempted to write positive only for the amazing pomegranate aroma. Not sure if` everybody could like this smell. The paste is of a very thick consistency. No matter how much you dig from the tub and use, the tub still looks like, its not going to get over that easily. Using it for more than 2 weeks, every alternative day, I'm still left with more than half of it.
Not sure about the cell regeneration part, but definitely there is the difference of a clearer and smooth skin after using it religously for aroung 10 sessions.
The paste dries up very fast.
Once the mask is dry, skin does not feel strechy at all. While washing my face, the rub the tip of my fingers on wet face in circular motion.
Feels fresh once you have washed you face. You can try it if you have'nt found anything better, but this product is definitely not a must have.

Thumbs up-
- Amazing pomogrenate aroma
- Its a tub that comes with a lid
- Not very expensive for the quantity
- Packing label graphics are cool

Thumbs down-
- Very thick consistency
- Its a tub and no spatula provided for the same
- No solid effects on skin to prove what it claims

Will I re-purchase?
No, Will lay my eyes this time on something else

Fabindia honey & frankincense face wash

How many ever face washes I have got, I don't stop myself from browsing for others. I have an illusion that some good face washes can remove tan with regular usage provided you avoid further sun tan and sun burns. As far as I've read articles on Net or papers , one of the most effective tan remover is honey. And thus I was
convinced into buying it the minute I saw 'honey'.

Price- Rs.125 for 120ml

Product says - A moisturising face wash ideal for dry skin, contaioning honey and frankincense essential oil that moisturises and rejuvenates the skin. The mildly fragrant face wash leaves the skin soft and supple.

Ingredients-
Honey, frankincense essential oil, water, SLES, glyceryl, cocoate.

The face wash is successful at accomplishing what it claims. After the wash you are bound to feel your skin has become soft and supple. The smell is mild and amazing. However the consistency of the face wash is very watery. It is a transperant thin liquid I can say. A little quantity goes a long way. It does'nt lather much and it proves to be a gentle face wash.
Fabindia is against animal testing and hence mostly no allergic reactions to be expected.
The tube packing could have been the better by narrowing the opening with  nozzle like structure as the consistency is too thin. The very 1st time I sqeezed the tube, I ended up spilling quite much.

Thumbs up-
  • The price sounds good. Can afford for a regular use.
  • I would rate 5 stars for the smell :)
  • Efficiently removes dirt and oil from face.

Thumbs down-

  • The packing is inconvinient

Will I re-purchase?
Yes, I have'nt yet discoverd another face wash with the same qualities. Its a good regular usage face wash.

VLCC Sun Safe Anti Tan pack

I agree, I have a fetish towards achieving a lighter skin. No matter how many times I get dissapointed with fairness products, I keep trying the newer one with same hopes. With all the good experience I had with VLCC skin defense alow vera bodu lotion I chose to purchase VLCC Sun safe Anti Tan face pack.

Price- Rs.185 for 85gms

Product claim -
Natural fruit extracts, uniquely combined with ayurvedic powder, in a cream base makes this a truly revolutionary product combinin. Use twice a week , apply for all skin types.

The Ingredient sounds quite cumbersome as its an ayurvedic product.

The week I purchased it , I was so curious and exited that I used it continously for 3 days.
  • Wet your face
  • Apply generously
  • Leave it for 10minutes
  • Dampen and rinse off
I have a Combination to Oily skin. The product definitely is not as revolutionary as it says.
The smell of the product may not be appealing to everybody. I felt it was bit strong. It is quite a thick white paste. You need to mix a little water to easily apply across your face.
All the minute visible impurities are completely washed off. Face feels fresh.
I could feel a tinge of short lived glow on my face the next morning.
Thumbs up-
1. Face is warded off impuruties and all the dirt
2. Tube packing gives you the liberty to squeeze as much as you want.
Thumbs down-
1. The face-pack is a very thick paste
2. Smell is not very appreciative.
Will I re-purchase?
No, would like to experiment some other product.
